Annual Walk of Hope for ALS

The ninth annual "Walk of Hope for ALS", a 3.5-mile walk around Lake Quannapowitt in Wakefield, will be held on Saturday, September 11th, 2010.
Hosted by the Angel Fund, an independent, nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting ALS research at the Cecil B Day Laboratory for Neuromuscular Research at UMass Medical Center. The walk begins with registration on Wakefield Common at 9 a.m. followed by the walk at 11 a.m.
The "Walk of Hope for ALS" has a rain date of Sunday, September 12th. The Walk will include refreshments, entertainment and activities for kids. Walkers who register before August 31st will receive a t-shirt. Walkers can participate as individuals or as a team.
